I love Our Lady very much. She is our mother. Our lady is very wonderful. This icon of the Mother of God is exceptionally beautiful and it is a blessing to see it.

Re: Virgin Mary & Child image on this page - who painted it, when? Looks too "modern" to be part of the Kykkos Monastery, and text does not identify it. It is a striking image which I would like to turn into a card (for personal use), but would like to have the correct attribution.

What a remarkable and beautiful icon of the Virgin Mary with Jesus on her lap. Is this the one the "original painting " at the Kykkos Monastery? It's gorgeous!
I had happened upon your website through a search for copyright free imaages of the Virgin Mary. Since this icon painting is in Cyprus and if it is a photo of the original reputedly to have been painted by St. Luke, do you know if it would be copyright free.
The reason I would like to find out is because I think it would be wonderful to translate it into a very beautiful cross stitch pattern, which could in turn be made available to others who would appreciate it. Thanks for any information you can give me.
