The Chesapeake Bay Bridge DOES NOT have ANY tunnels. It is STRICTLY a bridge that goes from Annapolis, MD (western shore) to Kent Island, MD (eastern Shore) about 2.5 miles. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel connects the southern tip of the Eastern Shore of MD. with Norfolk, VA and consists of 2 brisge spans and 2 tunnels. It is 23 miles long from terminus to terminus and has a gift shop, restaurant and gas station in the middle of it. I am a 60 year old man who is going to make an attempt to ride the east coast either this summer or next ( depending how long it takes me get together what I need ).
