Yes, people are being encouraged to eat the fish. It has a delicate white flesh that tastes better than the over-fished grouper.

Just came back from Montego Bay - The Lion fish were all over the reef outside the Sunspree (Holiday Inn) - especially in late afternoon. Gorgeous fish, glad I got to see them up close but did see several attacks on the other fish around - didn't realize they were such a concern. Hotels should probably warn guests especially for the overly curious kids sakes

This fish has arrived in DOMINICA "The Nature Isle Of The Caribbean".......Islanders are being told to start consuming this fish to hep control the evasion.

Not in jamaica in the bahamas but jamica's marine life is also being threatened by the lion fish.

they started a eat lion fish campaign here in jamaica, the lion fish are threatening the indigenous fish that sustain the reef system. if the reef get damaged then the shorelines will be more susceptible to the effects of natural storms

Some of these fish, although they look very beautiful, are very poisonous. But I'm sure I won't catch such fish on my Alaskan fishing vacation next month. These are tropical fish, they don't like the cold freezing waters.

First night dive in Red sea we counted 5 following us using our torch beams to hunt,they came really close and hovered beneath us, we never felt threatened at all an absolutely beautifull fish.

Images of brightly colored and graceful fish is very Impressive and lovely. Also i too want to add during the dive one must be careful.
